Riot Control is a random event where a riot breaks out in a corrupted region..

Riot Control

The corruption spreading in region name hasn't been taken well by the populace and the simmering anger has been worked into a frenzy by notorious Chalice criticizer leader name resulting in riots! It being a region close to hero name's heart, your hero has offered to ride back to region name and attempt to quell the escalating fear and violence.

  • Send hero first name to region name to begin peaceful negotiations with the rioters.
  • Order hero first name to infiltrate the rioters and assassinate leader first name, destroying them from within.
  • Allow hero first name to help, but from the Capital.

This event can only trigger if there is a region with corruption.

Peaceful negotiations[edit | edit source]

The Journey Home

hero first name leaves for /VAR_2/ and without a weapon. "I won't be needing it."

hero name has been removed from your retinue.

Outcomes[edit | edit source]

There are three possible outcomes, all equally likely. Any of these will occur two years after the hero is sent away.

Frenemies

hero name has returned! Along with the riot leader leader name! Apparently during the peace meetings they felt a certain kinship with each other and after some investigating they realized it was because they're both attuned to the Chalice! Once the shock wore off, leader first name defused the riots and asked to join the war effort because, "I clearly have more to learn."

hero name has returned and the riot leader leader name has been added to your retinue.

The riot leader's class and age will be randomly determined. He or she will be of a random level between one and three.

The Negotiator

An exhausted hero name has returned! "I couldn't promise them that region name would be safe forever, so I had to do the next best thing. If we lose region name, every citizen will be alloted a plot of land near the Capital to be used as they see fit. They accepted. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to pass out for at least two weeks."

hero name has returned and is in one of the worst moods you have ever seen! Not only were the riot "negotiations" with leader name a complete sham, but after weeks of stonewalling all leader first name wanted to know was whether your hero would sabotage the Chalice for deceiving the nation. Of course hero first name refused, but now the riots have worsened.

House Cleaning

hero name has returned! Along with the riot leader leader name in chains! "I know what my orders were but when I was spying on the rioters I found a lot of dirty dealings with this idiot. Instead of murder, I arrested leader first name, showed the people how they had been deceived, and now they are stronger for it."

hero name has returned and corruption has decreased in Template:Region!

The Butcher

hero name prods you awake. "It's done. The riots are done. leader name is done. Now I will never speak of this again." The somber hero eyes you making sure you understand before shuffling off to the barracks. "They called me The Butcher..."

hero name has returned and gained the nickname "The Butcher."

Special Delivery

You receive a package and a note from the riot leader leader name. "Ruler, if you wanted to kill me, why not do it yourself instead of sitting in the shadow of that Chalice? Thanks to your laziness, region name just had its first public execution in 200 years. Here's a memento." You drop the package and can't even bear to look at it.

Hero helps from the Capital[edit | edit source]

Letter Campaign

hero first name isn't happy to hear your decision, but respects it and instead sends out some handwritten letters to the local elders pleading them to calm the people down.

There are two possible outcomes, both equally likely. Either will occur one year after the initial decision.

Quiet Riot

hero name shakes you awake. "The riots in region name have stopped!" Apparently your hero's letters caught hold of the people to such a degree that the riot leader leader name couldn't stoke the flames any longer. The riots died as quickly as they began.

Flash Fire

hero name stands before you with ink-stained hands. It seems the local elders your hero called upon to help calm the riots did not appreciate being asked by mail. They found such a paltry response to this outbreak insulting, which is why they elected to join the turmoil as well! The ensuing violence escalated so quickly that the riots soon burned itself out, but not without great cost.
